mowax
I have enabled the option in the mailalerts module configuration (Customer notifications > Product Availability), but nothing appears on the product page that is out of stock, no option to add email etc. Prestashop version is 1.5.4.1 with the default theme example: http://www.duratex.co.uk/rubber-matting/41-coin-grip-rubber-matting-roll-6mm.html Any ideas where it could be? mowax
hi vekia, it turned out that the database table that stores the customer notify records was missing, so once it was added the module could be reset, and now it works! thanks for your help

obewanz
Is it the standard behavior for this module to provide an either/or scenario for the notification? If I set a product to Deny orders the button appears, but if I set a product to Allow orders, the button does not appear even though the product is out of stock. I would like to have the button appear any time the product is out of stock, except when I specifically select the "Deny orders" option on the product quantities page (see below for reason). I have also tried setting the default to allow orders when out of stock, but that had zero effect on whether the notification appears on the product page or not. ONLY when I have the product out of stock setting configured for Deny does the notification appear on the product page. I use the Deny orders as a way to "closeout" a product... since customers cannot order once the last unit is sold. I use the Default (which is currently set to deny) when a product is hard to get restocks of (this is where the notification would come in handy) and I don't want customers charged for an item that I may or may not be able to restock within a reasonable time. Otherwise all regular stock items are set to Allow orders so that customers can place backorders for the item(s). Note: This is a cross-post, but probably more description of what I wanted out of this module, that I made on topic: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/291623-solved-out-of-stock-notification-doesnt-show-anymore/?view=findpost&p=1470400 Edited April 1, 2016 by obewanz (see edit history)
mk2-pronat
I'm having the same issue. For some reason, there is no more input field for emails on the product page. I don't know if this is an older problem because a client just brought this to my attention today. Everything in back-office looks ok for Mail alerts add-on. I changed the permission for ordering products and deactivated and reactivated the module. I cleared the catch and all that standard things to see if anything changes but nothing. I have limited programming knowledge. Is there something else going on here, or some other known problems or module conflicts? I found out that this add-on for some reason got "unhooked" from "displayProductAdditionalInfo" where i needed it. I don't know when this happened, but I'm guessing after some updates. The process is as follows. Go to PrestaShop back-office > Design > Positions and in the top right corner click on Transplant a module button. You can follow this link here https://docs.prestashop-project.org/1.7-documentation/user-guide/improving-shop/customizing-store-design/positions Good luck.
