SMD Posted August 23, 2013 Share Posted August 23, 2013 Hi Guys, So I am brand new to Prestashop and I am not particularly tech savvy. not stupid but not great. So I installed a new theme on my domain. And then my website became none existent except for the My Account link - which didn't work. I them went back to try and re-install the theme but I couldnt get to the theme installer or the modules tab. I googled this problem and then got to the point where i changed the config file so I saw the error message. This is the message I got:- Fatal error: Class 'Context' not found in /homez.744/enlighte/www/modules/lofadvancecustom/libs/params.php on line 36 What should I now do? delete this module from my FTP? will I be able to re install the theme? (always post this for best support) sounds to me like you loaded a 1.5 into a 1.4 shop, but that is just a guess with info provided. you could try and deleting the offensive module via ftp...and hopefully that will get your shop back...if not, read on. my advice? restore shop from back up, if you did not back up (drop and give me 20), then ask your hosting provider if they can restore from back up. SMD Posted August 23, 2013 Author Share Posted August 23, 2013 Ah I thought I had updated it to the latest version! So much for OVH's 1-click install. I don't know how to upgrade to the latest version. When on the Update tab I see the following screen.(see screenshot) problem screen.tiff I have deleted all the modules on my FTP. No I haven't created a backup but this is the first install theres absolutely nothing but default data at the moment. Doesnt bode well for me haha! If you can tell me either how to start afresh or how to upgrade then I would greatly appreciate it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
El Patron Posted August 23, 2013 Share Posted August 23, 2013 if it's a new shop, with just the default products... then simply install the latest ps version it's a good idea to learn how to install yourself so you have more control and you will learn things that will come in useful as you move forward. start here: http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS15/Installing+PrestaShop if you have installation questions/issues/ etc make sure to open a new post under installation. you will need ftp and phpmyadmin (mysql) from your hosting account, this is something you need to know in order to mange your shop in the future... good luck!...happy learning.... and always BACK UP YOUR files and mysql DB when you are doing something you are unsure of....and anytime you load a template...
