threeopus3 Posted August 22, 2013 Share Posted August 22, 2013 I have had a nice break from Prestashop - I must say that I hate working with it. Nothing really works correctly. Yes, I know it is free, but that doesn't alleviate the pain. With that warm intro, I don't expect many responses, but here goes: Google analytics doesn't track order confirmation. Orderconfirmation.php shows up as "step 0" in the analytics code. This is a well known issue, has been for a long time, but is still not fixed because Prestashop is...free. Now, the other reason that I hate Prestashop is that there is a lot of discussion on here but rarely any solutions. If solutions do exist, and are over a year old, they won't be useful because they will be out of date. No, what are the chances that someone has a solution to this major problem? There are many other open source ecommerce platforms, and yes I would bet money not to many people will be willing to help you as we Prestashop folk are proud people and don't take kindly to h8rs Yes, Google analytics does track order confirmations (they call it conversions) so does Google ad words (ad words only tracks conversions from paid clicks) http://www.google.com/analytics/features/conversion-suite.html I use it on all my sites and couldn't live without it.
