Nepherael Posted August 21, 2013 Share Posted August 21, 2013 (edited) Ok I've had some of the same problems others had with changing logos in prestashop 1.5 It turns out my problem with logos and favicons involved self uploading and changing some database entried from .jpg. to .ico I have tried everything I can to get the store locator image to work and there's nothing doing. I've uploaded manually, I checked the database entries to make sure it calls on the right file and filetype and I made sure that I'm uploading a GIF. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Shop is at www.pendrypowdershop.com if that helps The files are in the img folder and prestashop shows the right image in the themes pages after saving but if I reload the page or go to the store locator it defaults back to the prestashop green bag. Nepherael Posted August 21, 2013 Author Share Posted August 21, 2013 This issue is now solved. For those that may have this problem in the future here's what I did. I went to root/img folder, deleted logo_stores.gif and logo_stores-1.gif, then I went to the prestashop back office and uploaded the .gif image I wanted, and, finally, I went back to my file manager and manually changed the name of the uploaded image from logo_stores-1.gif to logo_stores.gif and now everything is fine. I will mark this thread as solved. also anyone that happens upon this thread in the future, if you are having the same issue with store logos or any other uploaded logo messing around with manual image uploads usually works and, if it doesn't, in your database under ps_configuration there's an entry for favicon (usually two) and they should both say favicon.ico.
