[SOLVED] - All categories disappeared...

Hi All,

 

I have a problem i can't seem to figure out:

 

My shop has just been moved to another server, and everything worked as it should for a couple of days. Today i accessed my shop, and all items were gone. When i accessed my back-end all products are there, but my categories are gone ??

 

I tried to create a new category, but when i clicked save, the category did not show up in the list in the backend.. the list just kept empty ???

 

I deleted the Smarty cache, and i regenerated the .htaccess

everything on your website looks like you've got problems with friendly urls

can you, for test purposes, disable friendly urls?

 

i just wondering... maybe you hoster changed something on host, thereupon friendly urls died

 

Hi Again,

 

Thanks for your effort.. i now disabled priendly URL's, and it did something.. but still no items showing.

When i enter the admin page i don't see any categories and when i add a new category it does not show in admin page but it appears in my drop-Down menu on the front end ???

You mean the front office search? Can you try replacing the whole classes/ folder with a fresh one? There is a chance some files got corrupted during transfer at this point

Hi Again,

 

I think i have some very important information: When my settincs.inc is pointing at the database at my other host (a copy of the DB) then items are showing.. if i point it to the database of the new host, no products appear ???

 

Are there any other files that i need to change for this to Work ?? ... i have recently moved from one hosting Company to another....

 

Additional info: I have a block showing a featured product, and this product is actualy showing ??

Hi Again,

 

I have now identified the following:

 

- If i go directly to a product page: http://www.haisler.d...troller=product i see the products

- If i edit the product from the backend, the changes are also showing in front end, meaning that i have access to the correct database (i checked the corrections in the table)

- Search and product categories does not Work

- If i edit the Category description in DB directly (ps_category_lang) the changes are shown in front end.. so the categories exist in the DB, but in the backend they are not showing at all !!

 

I really need help on this.. thanks.

Hi Again...

 

Thanks a lot.. it seems that it was my hosting partner that had the problem.. but thanks all for taking a look and provide me with help.

 

Can i by the way mark this as solved myself ??
