here is the full tutorial: remove left column in prestashop

 

go to themes directory and open your theme subdir

 

you've got there .header.tpl file - open it and search for:

<div id="left_column" class="column grid_2 alpha">
 {$HOOK_LEFT_COLUMN}
</div>

 

then just remove it.

 

now it's time to change width for the center column, search for:

<div id="center_column" class=" grid_5">

 

and change grid_5 to grid_7
