Suffa
Hi I have been unable to work out how to host a pdf file on my domain and link to it for downloads. I currently have a CMS page setup for installation guides. Id like to createe a link to a number of pdf installation guides that customers can save and use. What is the best way to do this? Ray UK
In the Back Office... Catalog Attachments Add new Then when editing the CMS Page, click the icon that says "insert Media" when you hover over it ?
vekia
you can do it: 1) click on icon add media 2) click on browse icon 3) upload any file you want then use the same method to select the file, for which you want to insert the link
Suffa
It says "not allowed to upload that type of file" when trying to upload the pdf.
vekia
so maybe you are able to upload the files manually via FTP service or your via files manager available (i hope so that you've got it) in your hosting control panel? if so, move the files to the img/cms/ dir
swsindonesia
If you want you customer to just download the pdf file, you can upload the files manually to folder "download" then use any CMS page to link to that particular file url

Minsky_ae
Hi there, I'm trying to achieve the same on PrestaShop 1.7 The first solution Catalog > Attachments > Add new, seems to only allow file to be attached to a product. The second solution doesn't seem to work. The PDF file is there in cms/img but I can't see it when I try to add a media (I reckon it allows only images). Anyone with another solution? Thanks! EDIT: I reckon I found a solution, use Add a link instead of Add a media, next to the URL field there is button to add file!
