Griz-Lee
Hi, i have the following problem. I have a page running in the public-html folder on my server, not in a subfolder. The Address is a rather cryptic Adress so I am redirecting in a Frame so the Domain is visible in the adress bar. However when i browse the Site, the Address Bar doesn't change, so for a customer it's not possible to copy the adress bar and send it to a friend or something like that. How can i fix this. (The URL in the settings of prestashop is set to the cryptic server address, whenever i set it to the correct domain it's eternally loading)
swsindonesia
Hi, If you're running your site within a frame in domainname : simpledomain.com, then your web will only run within that particular frame and the address bar won't change at all. You can use redirection from www.simpledomain.com to supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.crypticdomain.com that way your customer can have the proper address bar let's say for supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.crypticdomain.com/best-seller-products Another way to achieve having simpledomain.com/best-seller-products for your cryptic address is to enable Apache specific module called ProxyPass, that will enable you simpledomain.com to act not only as a redirection, but a fully working proxy for your cryptic web. To achieve this you must have a Apache web server, with ProxyPass module, and access. To put it simple, you better have a very good (or generous) web hosting, or host your own server. PascalVG
Hi Griz, did you ever try to find out WHY it was eternally loading? Actually the best solution would be to make this just work, so your customers are not bothered by the , I quote (Thanks sws, didn't see that phrase for a long time :-) ) supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.crypticdomain.com name Did you contact your host already what can be the problem?
