milezone
I show it is enabled but cannot see this when I try to checkout? No payment options are shown. I do see the Express Checkout works but really would like the Paypal Standard. Any help please? Milezone

mobiquio
Today, 01:05 AM kornett, on 03 August 2013 - 07:18 PM, said: My paypal payment option is not showing up on the available payment methods when trying to do the checkout. Prestashop: 1.5.4 Paypal module: 1.2.1 I've tried the Live and Sandbox mode, with valid credentials and API settings. is this a bug??? Using USA and Canada as available countries, USD and EUR currencies by default. No errors displayed, its like it was disabled but it is ENABLED. Screenshots attached. I have the same exact problem, I have installed many of the previous versions in the past and I have never had any problems setting up modules. I just downloaded and installed 1.5.4 an hour ago and just like always the first modules i install are UPS, FEDEX and PayPal. All was going good till I installed the PayPal Module. I added both Sandbox as well as live API credentials and also saved the module and payment configurations. I then went to try my first checkout and nothing NO PayPal option only the default bank wire and check payments were available. I double checked if the module was disabled in fact I quadruple check to see if I was missing something. But Still Nothing...... So I search google and also searched prestashop forum which lead me to this post. There must be something wrong. This is the first time I tried to install PS on godaddy servers maybe that could be a problem I know godaddy is garbage but its what my client has. I even check that all the file permissions are correct and uninstalled, reinstalled, reset, disabled and enabled a few time but still nothing. I really don't have time for this to be broken, Please someone tell me what the last stable version is so I can install it and get this work done. The Express Checkout API is different than that PayPal Standard Payments, I believe you link a PayFlow API from PayPal. You have configuration settings in your module that can dictate which method you would like to use.
milezone
With Paypal Standard do I even need a API? I use our Paypal account for another website, so will I not be able to use same account for a new website? I am lost on this one?
benjamin utterback
Hi Milezone, yes you do need a different API for Standard. If you didn't need an API with the same account on your other website, then you can receive one from contacting PayPal.

If you didn't need an API with the same account on your other website, then you can receive one from contacting PayPal. Hello! I'm having a similar problem. I installed the module PayPal USA, Canada 1.2.5 and when I click to configure, it goes to a page to choose what type of PayPal product I would like to enable and/or to Sign Up for a PayPal account, plus the option API. I've updated my PayPal account to PayPal Payments Standard on PayPal website, but when I click to enable this option in Prestashop, only it shows the message "Congratulations, your configuration was updated successfully". There is no other option for me to add my PayPal email to integrate Prestashop with my PayPal account. I tried using the PayPal API Settings and I obtained values for API Username, API Password and Signature, but I do not know what to type in the option "PayPal Business Account" (Would it be my PayPal email , or the name of my business that was registered in PayPal, or my PayPal merchant account?). THERE IS NOTHING ON THE PAYPAL SITE KNOWN AS "PayPal Business Account". In short: the PayPal module was installed because it can see it in modules / payments, but PayPal Payment Standard does not appea at checkout. Do you think you can help me? Thanks, Jane
benjamin utterback
Hi Jane, well first I want to let you know that there is a PayPal business account that can be used with this module. https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/helpcenter/article/?articleID=94050#paypal_account_types_business_account You want to use PayPal Standard Payments? At the configuration for the PayPal account, can you double check you selected the right settings. Is your API for PayPal Standard?

I have a PayPal Payments Standard account and I checked my PayPal settings and in my "Selling tools" in I created API Username, API Password and Signature. My main question is: What should I type in the field "PayPal Business Account"? (Would it be my PayPal email , or the name of my business that was registered in PayPal, or my PayPal merchant account, or I just type "PayPal Payments Standard"?). THERE IS NOTHING ON THE PAYPAL SITE KNOWN AS "PayPal Business Account". Thanks, Jane.
awmawm
Same problem here. We are in the process of building a multi-store site with one using PayPal Europe (seems to work) and another one with PayPal USA. The PayPal USA Standard module does NOT show up but when I add the Express Checkout option, customers can can check out with PayPal. I copied the credentials directly from the pop-up window when you click on "Live Mode API" so the information comes directly from there without any chance for error. jeyjoo
I have a similar issue and have found that express checkout USA does not actually work so will remove it.
