Importing a remote database to work on it locally?

For the last two days I have been trying to set up a mirror site of my online store this entails migrating the remote database from the remote server to the local server

 

However every time I do this I run into a few problems -

 

I install prestaShop locally set up the DataBase fill in the details delete the install folder, its all good working and functioning.

 

I then log onto my remote server and make a backup copy of the database and save it to my computer.

 

Then I log into myPHPAdmin and import the database backup that I have just saved to my computer

 

The usernames and passwords are the same locally and remotely

 

Then once it is all updated and everythings grand (according the myPHPAdmin anyway) I go to myShop URL and change the settings to localhost etc and I get this

Any help on this would be great as Im going a bit mad after 2 days
