Upgrading worked, but when I try to login to test account, it crashes my dedicated server

Recommended Posts

I upgraded from 1.1 final on a test site (as upgrading on my main site failed last time) and it comes out and says it had 2 sql errors. I logged into the admin section fine, all the modules were working, everything was working great until I had this problem:

When I tried to log into my test account on the site, it completely bogged down my dedicated server almost crashing it. It must have got caught in a loop of some sort.

Has anyone else been able to fix this? What am I doing wrong? Could it be the folder permissions or something?

Thanks.

Update - I had to suspend my site in cpanel. Everytime I go to my site now, it completely crashes the server. It all started once I tried to log into my test account.

This is from my bug report:

This is a weird situation.

1) In the installation process, it tells me to make my folders 777 permission. I do it to the img folder recursively and for some reason it says that I did it to the modules folder. When I do it to the module folder, it says I did it to the templates/lang folder. It still says that 2 of the folders do not have 777 permissions, even though they do, but I ignore it and continue with the upgrade

2) It upgrades but says that 2 sql errors were caused while it was upgrading. I am unsure what happened, but I continue with the upgrade

3) The site is successfully upgraded, I can view the site, all the pictures are working, all the categories are there, etc. I log into my admin panel, its working like normal. I try to login to one of my random test accounts, it gets stuck. I look at the processes in my dedicated server control panel and it saying that the cpu usage is maxed out, causing all of the other sites on the server to time out.

4) I have to suspend my account with the test version of this upgrade as it continues in (I guess) a loop even after I close my browser.

I am unsure how to fix this problems. Are there any solutions to this?
