artjunky
I don't know how you plan to do a help center, but I would not install Presta again. I would just link to the correct page on your main site, after finding the correct match. You can still use your Presta database on other portions of site. Here you would use _product and _product_lang and then use those to build your links. _product_lang holds the name and description of your products.I think this is what you mean. mr_c
http://www.r4ds.co.uk/faqs/ is not a subdomain, it is simply a folder called "faqs" inside the root directory. As for the help centre, use the cms tool located in your tools tab in the back office.Use that to create your faq page, and i think you can set it to have the file inside another folder, i.e "www.chippedmodems.com/faqs/help.php"
artjunky
No, you want to go to your back office and the Tools tab. Then click on CMS. Presta already has pages for Legal Terms, about us, etc. Just make a CMS page called FAQ's and another one called Help. You don't have to download a new module. There is a module that comes with Presta called Info Block. After you have added your new CMS Pages, go to it and click on configure. Your new pages will show up there. Just click the checkboxes for them and they will show up with your other information links on your pages.
