Chris G 29
I have had a number of strange 404s being generated, for example: /js/+ /streamrotator/admin.php/st/admin/rotator.php /fckeditor/editor/filemanager/upload/php/upload.php?Type=Media /.svn/text-base/index.php.svn-base /cgi-bin/te/wlogin.cgi Don't know about the first one, /js/+, but the others make me think someone is trying to get into the site. Any ideas ? I've looked at the logs on the server and they don't show up the strange 404's reported by prestashop BO, so its difficult to be sure of the IP. Is there anyway of getting the visitors IP from the BO 404 listing ? Thanks Chris g Edited August 7, 2013 by Chris G 29 (see edit history)
El Patron
most if not all hosting solutions supply logs. One log for example is for errors. But another is for 'access', it has all the information about url/ip/etc...very useful when you are looking for the information you seek. if you do not know where the log is, contact your hosting provider. I second that, PrestaShop does not tell you exactly what IP's visited what link, but your Hosting Provider can, or they could give you access to view it. This isn't totally uncommon, I've seen this 404 issue before and it didn't show itself as a real threat. That being said, its never a bad thing to check it out. Chris G 29
Thanks guys, I appreciate the quick responses. There are logs but I can't quite reconcile them yet, (they show a "page not found" message but not which page), and the error logs are blank. I'll check with the host provider if I can get the info I want Regards Chris g
