Multiple currencies in back office only

Is it possible to enable additional currencies and have them only appear in the back office for stock management and purchase order purposes, without modifying the front office templates?

you can use as many currencies as you want in your store, you can define which one will be available in the front office, just switch the "enabled" settings currencies in the localization > currency tab in your BO

So I thought as well, but if I disable them, the currency will not be available when specifying prices for an item from a supplier, in the product catalog in the back office... I want to be able to specify stock purchase prices in different currencies, since I purchase merchandise from many different countries with different currencies. But not have them show up in the front office.
