dazlia
Hi guys, Ok, heres my dilemma! lol I'm obviously working on a prestashop site and this is my first ever one using prestacart so it's taken a LOT of effort to get it looking and functioning as i want. So while ive been working on the design side of things, someone else has been getting the shipping weights etc to function properly. The problem is that the DESIGN part of the site is mydomain.com/shop2 All the shipping settings are in mydomain.com/shop3 Is there any simple way of transfering all those settings required into another domain/subdomain in order to avoid us having to mirror what he's done on shop3 and manually entering them all in shop2? Thanks
PascalVG
Are both shops the same Version? Do they have (available) the same modules (i.e. any 3rd party modules that are needed?) Make sure all modules are available on both shops, then: Make a backup of all files of both shops, as well as of both databases. Make sure you can fully restore both if needed. Go to the shop with the great looking layout. To prevent problems with themes that have the same name (like 'default'), first make a copy of your SuperTheme and give it a unique name, following these guidelines: http://doc.prestasho...+your+own+theme If you have a working copy of the theme, continue: Go to modules->Modules, and look for "Import/export a theme" module". If it isn't installed yet, install. Then click configure. Here you can export the SuperTheme you have made. When everything exported well, 'take the zipfile to the other shop' (i.e. make it available, so we can import it in this shop) and go to the backoffice of the shop with the 'BoringTheme' ( ) Then again, go to the modules->modules menu, see if the import/export a theme module is installed, and go again to configure. Here you can import the SuperTheme you just exported. More info about the import process, look here first: (Especially check for the warnings you might have to copy to streamline image sizes etc. See video for details): If you didn't do yet, In Preferences->themes, select your new SuperTheme Check in Advanced Parameters, if Cache is OFF and Force recompile template files is turned ON, Go to your (previous) BoringShop, and see if it 'blossomed' into your SuperShop with shipping ready available. Hope this helps, pascal
