Sparky, I did an easy fix to dont show the image. In modules/mailalerts/views/hook/my-account.tpl u can change the class of the list by another existing class of another of the links in the footer, so it works as others do. For example I used: <li class="lnk_wishlist"> and it worked as wanted. P.D: sorry if I did any mistakes writting, i'm not a very good english speaker. There is no information about that he want remove only image. Moreover - Image there it isn't problem, it's a default feature of mail alerts module.
