[solved] How to set up one-to-many attribues

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am looking for a way to create product attributes, which will allow faceted navigation and proper filtering for my customers.

My challenge: I have cosmetic products which are suitable for different skin types. The Problem: a product can be suitable for none, one or more skin types simultaneously.

E.g.

Skin Types: Oil, Wrinkle, Dry, Sensible

  • Product A: Oil, Wrinkle, but not for the rest
  • Product B: Sensible, but not for the rest
  • Product C: Oil, Sensible, but not for the rest

In the end, I would like my layered navigation to show a filter which says: oil, wrinkle, dry and sensible. The customer should then be able to click on e.g. oil and all the products which are at least suitable for oily skin should be displayed.

I am somewhat stuck, because the lists only allow Yes or No, but not a one-many relationship.

I would appreciate any tips or a module which will help me achieve this. Otherwise, my catalogue is kind of unbrowsable.

Prestashop: 1.4.8.2

Thank you guys in advanced,

Best regards Philipp
