misaligned page items

I recently added the social count module to my shop and changed it to a top of page hook so it was more prominant, since this the log in/my account/checkout bar has dropped down slightly and the cart button has moved from inside my menu bar,

 

any advice on how I can move these things back where they should be?

I cant use live edit for the header area, and changing the order of the hooks doesnt seem to change anything.

Edit, unhooking and rehooking to the same spot fixed it
