Dee P.
Bing Webmaster keeps showing 13 pages as noncompliant and wants me to put in <meta http-equiv="content-language" content="en-gb">. When I run other pages of the site through their SEO Analyzer, it looks like it's all my pages not just the 13. The closest post I can find on this is http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/223446-prestashop-seo-for-multilanguage-website-important/page__p__1103272__hl__html%20lang__fromsearch__1?do=findComment&comment=1103272 -- not quite the same thing. My header.tpl shows : <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="{$lang_iso}"> <head> Checking the pages and even Bing's Analyzer shows: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en"><head> Looks to me like the info they want is there. So what do I do to get Bing to recognize it. AND is Google looking for the info too?? Am using Prestashop 1.4.8.2. vekia
you can do it manually in your header.tpl file (themes/YOUR_THEME/header.tpl) just add meta language code and should work
Dee P.
Actually it just disappeared on its' own about 2 weeks ago without me making any changes. The info was there, Bing just seemed to have a problem picking it up. Now, it seems to be having problems picking up my h1 tag and says I have none. So .... am wondering if Bing might be ........ vekia
so, if you've got these tags in your website contents, the problem is on bing side :/ I have no idea
