TexasPrairieRose
This is a rather long list, so bear with me please (hope and pray I can afford all of this... maybe it just sounds like more than it really is?). I'm looking for someone to create 2 new Prestashop ecommerce carts and migrate data (including Meta data, categories, category descriptions, products & images), from my current BigCommerce site (www.stonehillcreek.com). Will only be moving the first 4 categories on the Nav line to create the 2 PrestaShop carts. All other categories and products from our current site will be permanently eliminated. Can provide access to the BigCommerce API for the site (if that helps?). I am not technical at all and really don't want to be mucking with any code (I barely know enough to get myself into major trouble). Having said all of that, here's an outline of what I'd like: All of the standard features of the latest Prestashop (1.5.3 I think?) plus the following: Hosting Have used icdsoft.com for personal sites for over 10 years and am familiar with them and their support. Not sure if they offer add-on domains? Open to alternative suggestions/recommendations for consistent and reliable hosting service. Create 2 PrestaShop stores: SewlyButtons.com - Will use only items currently in Buttons category on BigCommerce SewlyCrafts.com (possible tag line: home to sewlypatterns.com - Will use only items currently in these 3 BigCommerce Categories (Crafts, Sewing Patterns, Laces & Notions) Note: All other categories and products on BigCommerce will be eliminated completely Colors & design - My audience is primarily women... from 20 to in their 80s so I need really easy navigation and an easy on the eyes website to accommodate the seniors. - Subtle and clean design. Something that compliments and showcases the products - Don't want it to look scrapbooky but do want some touches of color - I really don't have any specific look in mind (just something appealing... I do like "torn paper" edges) - OK for designs to be similar between the 2 stores... if that's a good idea? Home Page(s) 1. SewlyButtons.com - Categories on Nav Line - Overall format maybe similar to current BC site - Social Media "buttons" somewhere (facebook, twitter, pinterest, wanelo, email, other?) - Reference somewhere to sewlycrafts.com site - Random display of products from across site (I don't do featured) - Open to all suggestions 2. SewlyCrafts.com (maybe include tag line: home to sewlypatterns.com) - Not sure which category display format would be best? Nav Line on Home Page but showing in left panel on category and product pages? -or- Showing in left panel on all pages including home? -or- Could possibly have "Shop" on Nav line on home page and then display categories in left panel when that's clicked on? However, not sure if "shop" is a good strategy/shortcut approach or not? - Do not really like fly-outs for sub-categories (would prefer a collapsing accordion style menu) - Note: have seen some PrestaShop left panel categories that "wiggle" when you hover with cursor (do NOT want that effect) - Social Media "buttons" (facebook, twitter, pinterest, wanelo, email, other?) - Reference somewhere to sewlybuttons.com site - Random display of products from across site (I don't do featured) - Open to all suggestions For both sites: Category Pages - Grid Display with Quick-View - Products displayed in order of newest first - Would like ribbon or something to display on items that are "on sale" or "sold" - Do NOT need product comparison feature Product Pages - Include display of related items from same category (or sub-category) including those sale/sold ribbons - Similar Layout to existing BigCommerce site (but would like description to somehow wrap images if it's a long one... just so there's not huge chunks of blank space... although open to suggestions if that's not a good idea) - Very much like the way images are laid out in BigCommerce - Do NOT need image zoom feature, image enlarge is sufficient - Social Media buttons (facebook, twitter, pinterest, wanelo, email, other?) Check out - One page checkout - Guest checkout or create account - Paypal & Stripe - Will need SSL - Domestic Shipping = Flat Rate - International Shipping by Weight = USPS real-time calculations (First Class & Priority) SEO - No redirects needed. Starting all over clean clean clean - Google Site Map - Google Rich Snippets in code - Google Feed (will use this for TheFind. Have zero experience with new paid Google Shopping and have never done any Google ads) - TheFind setup Other Stuff: - Would REALLY like to administer both from one back office if that's possible? - Ability to add a relatively narrow banner that would display on ALL pages (to use for promotions and/or seasonal messages, bla bla bla) - Would Like "you also viewed" (or whatever it's called in PrestaShop) to display somewhere noticeable as shoppers browse the sites - Loyalty program? Not sure what's available, but something relatively simple that pretty much manages itself - Wish Lists? - Functional on-site search (BigCommerce search is horrible, defaults to "or" instead of "and" - had to pay for a hack to make on-site search functional) - Other needed or recommended add-ons?? - Make tracking numbers available on customer accounts - Possibly make Brand names available somehow on SewlyCrafts (although in an understated way, if at all. My list of Brands is HUGE since I sell mostly vintage used OOAK). - Would like a matching Blog for each site (no preferences on platform) - Abandoned cart email with coupon code offer - Norton Safe Web in code - Google Analytics in code - Anything else I forgot - Test site prior to going live. - Hopefully ongoing support / development needs will be minimal once everything is set up (altho I worry about things like updates to accommodate browser changes, etc etc... I am soooo NOT techie). Timeframe - Would like categories and product information moved from BigCommerce by EOM August or first week of September if possible - OK if both new sites are not live until sometime in September(ish). I would like these 2 stores to be brand new and not in any way tied to my existing store, so I don't mind an interim "dead" period of time. Would really like to work with someone from this community. bellini13
that is a rather long list Are you not transferring your customer and order history from the previous ecommerce platform? Just the products in those above mentioned categories?
