studioj
I am looking for a hosted cart solution for an existing website. My site has all the presentation logic for my products. I only need a solid transaction processing function. Can I use hosted presta shop that way? I assume I would pass information about the cart contents, item, sku, qty, cost etc. over SSL to the cart and then the cart will take all payment information and complete the transaction. Can prestacart be used in this manner? If you have an example, that would be super!
benjamin utterback
Hi studioj, welcome to the PrestaShop forum! PrestaShop (not prestacart oh no! ) will need to be hosted by any hosting provider, we reccommend A2 Hosting and InMotion Hosting, you can find more details here under "Hosting" http://www.prestashop.com/en/industry-partners You can use a number of Payment gateways like Authorize.net, First Data, Skrill, PayPal and more... The flexibility is there for however you want to accept payments.
studioj
Hey Benjamin. Thanks for the really quick response. I saw InMotion and I think I will use them. I understand about the payment gateways. Should I be looking at PrestaCart given my application (no catalog presentation, just payment processing)?
