V-5
My current 1.5.4.1 setup is having some code issues that I am unable to resolve and this is causing my site to be down most of the time showing Internal Server Error and sometimes when the site automatically starts running, the performance is very slow. Out of frustration I went ahead and did a fresh setup of prestashop in a different folder on the same hosting account and it is working fine and fast. Now I would like to migrate all the products, categories, etc from the old setup (having problems as of now) to the new setup as it is working fine and fast. Please let me know how can I do that or if someone can help resolve the problems in the current setup that would be great. benjamin utterback
Hello V-5! I think that you'll be better off first troubleshooting your speed issues of your current shop. The page problem may be coming from the host because of certain time out or memory issues. It makes sense that your new installation is working faster because there are no products and less things to load. Have you turned on error reporting to try and see what the specific errors are? You can follow this guide to turn on errors http://www.prestasho...-or-blank-page/ Also, this blog-post will help you understand the http internal server error. http://www.prestasho...plained-solved/

I personally prefer to fix the loading problems rather than migrate products to new setup....
benjamin utterback
Yes, I'm pretty sure that the problem is coming from the host because you are using the default template and it just seems like the host is taking too long to load the products. If you have many products in one category then you should separate them into sub categories, that helps a lot with loading time
V-5
When you say many products in one category, would would be a good definition number for many? I am asking this because in total as of now I have about 60 products across multiple manufacturers and I am sure that 60 is not at all many...
