Oebe Rombout
Setting the PHP setting max_input_vars to a high value creates a possible security breach on our servers, a risk we don't like taking. Is there any other way to edit translations in the admin, by making use of multiple smaller forms for example?
vekia
it isn't possible right now, maybe future versions will have this feature. for now, ps hasn't got it
wrequine
You should be able to set this number to a moderate value like 4000 for your translations to work.
PascalVG
Hi wrequine, For many that is indeed enough. However, sometimes indeed you need an incredible amount (probably per extra language extra amount needed or so). Last week I saw someone needing at least 4380. It seems it never stops requiring more... Really needed to make a pagination here! Oebe, for now probably needed to increase this value. Maybe do it temporarily, only during editing... Can you give me more information how exactly this can create security problems? Just curious how this would work... Thanks! My 2 cents, pascal
bellini13
Others have copied their site to a local WAMP installation, and perform their translations there. Once finished they just upload the translation files back to the live store
