How to delete database of products?

Hello,

 

For days ive been experimenting with the CSV product uploader, im now ready to import my redone and final csv of all my products but id number is at over 3000

 

can i reset that back to 1 again? is all this unwanted data from product id numbers 1-3000 stored somewhere that i can remove?

in this case just truncate products tables, then auto icrenement will be reset to 0

here is the clarification

conntect your database, for example via phpmyadmin

then from databases list on the left hand side select your prestashop database

search for tables related to the product (ps_product) and also (ps_category_product) and check the checkbox near them

 

scroll page down and from dropdown select "EMPTY / TRUNCATE"

is this possible to do this in plesk or via ftp?

 

Will it have any effect if i just leave it as it is?

 

ie will my prestashop admin panel be really slow when amending product info if I just leave it? Im trying to manually do the sizes/colours but its taking a while to load the admin product page in prestashop admin
