RogerT
Can anyone explain how they work? I can't find any good information in the search.I can't be the only one who uses tracking numbers.... can I?
TropischBruin
It is realy easy, when you know it.Did you put in an url in your carrier?Otherwise it wo'nt show up in the back-end.
RogerT
Yes I did. I put a URL in all my carriers. Will the old orders from before I put the URL propagate and allow me to enter the tracking number because this isn't the case.Even with the new orders... :/
ukbaz
Very Glad someone else has asked this question. I too am having problems with the lack of 'instructions'. I am running 1.2.1 final.I go to Shipping -> Carriers -> Edit Carrier and in the URL field enter a carrier URL followed by the @ sign.No matter what URL I enter I always get 'Hack attempt (Carrier -> url = @)'.Have tried this many times and with many variations - always the same result.Could someone please explain the correct way this works, or do I have a bug?ThanksBaz
RogerT
I've done as you've described but never got a hack attempt lol. I just get stuck at what I should do after that. What carriers do you use?

RogerT
I am using 1.2.1 final as well. Two of my 5 shipping carriers are USPS and Canada Post. I don't understand why you have to give a direct URL to the tracking page but I guess I can live with it. I've found these:USPS: http://trkcnfrm1.smi.usps.com/PTSInternetWeb/InterLabelInquiry.do?origTrackNum=@Canada Post: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/track/personal/findByTrackNumber?trackingNumber=@I still don't know how to enter the tracking numbers. ukbaz
CAN Anyone give an example of a UK based carrier service that works with a tracking number? No matter what I try I cannot get these to work!ThanksBarry----------------
Mikeey
When you change order status to Shipping you will get the url field in the order. But my problem is not to enter the tracking-id, my problem is that when changing status to shipping, it sends a mail to the customer directly and AFTER that I'm able to enter the tracking-id = my customer gets an e-mail with empty tracking-id... minh
@ SiteCheck here for adding tracking link in email: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/38400/general_discussion/solved_can_a_tracking_number_be_added_to_an_mailalerts@ everbodyI use two carriers. I have entered the url for tracking # for both carriers. The url is correct, not doubt about that. But on the order page the field to enter tracking # only appears for one of my carriers but not the other. What's wrong here? The configuration is the same for both carriers, as far as I understand.
