problems with regenerating images and thumbanails

Hello,

 

I have a very strange problem on one installation of PrestaShop. I've update everything from PS1.4.x to PS1.5.4.1 using autoupgrade module and the only problem I am facing now is the regenerating thumbanails.

 

It shows to me that there're no permissions for writing, but the folder and file CHMOD is 777, I've also tried CHMOD 755 and all other possibilities here.

 

I've also found a topic that there should be some placholder images, the so called no-image. I've tried to add them to subfolders too, but it does not really help.

 

I am having problems with stores images, categories images. Products images seems to worked fine.

 

I am not sure what is going on here. Do you have any advices or something?

 

If there's also a problem of no-image not being there, I wonder why PretaShop made it so complicated and cannot generate them by themselves.

But they really did not help too or maybe I've done something wrong with those no-images.

I've also found out that the file owners are different somehow. One of them are root root, others apache apache. Maybe that may have something?
