Make left and right columns wider on default theme.

How to get left and right column wider? I'm using default theme.

 

I would like to expand them for lets say 30% but I would like to expand them to outside and not shorten the middle area where the content and products are displayed.

i think that in this case you should use some responsiveness,why?

what if your customers will have got small screens? for example 1024x768 (it's still common resolution!)

then they will have horizontal scrollers

I'm familiar with that Vekia but thing is some of the names of my products are very long.

In the right column of default theme I have most sold products section/module position.

 

Big part of the names below the images are not visible. One solution (and you explained to me that it wont be good) is to make these columns larger and 2nd would be to make the font a little bit smaller in order to put bigger part of the name to be shown.

Is there a way to make this 2nd idea to work?

 

This also should apply to the newest products

of course it is possible to change font-size and line height for example, it's really easy to achieve

but if you use small font - it could be unreadable :/

I wont be using extra small font, just slightly smaller then current.

Well not really no... Here is just one item, large image.

 

I would like to leave 5 products or at least 3 of them...

yes, but of course it will looks the same for all items there, and ofc you can decrease the size of the picture

then there will be more space for product name

I think it is more logical to display few items instead of one as it is module "most sold products". I agree it is looking ok, but I have very much image problems already so I would skip this solution if possible
