old_mac
We have a version running on a Mac. When we try to install on a Linux server, installer stops on database page and will go no further. No error messages. The one odd thing is the server sets login to 'shop_user' when making the database. Could the underscore be causing problems perhaps with a parser? Looks like PS uses json or something to verify the connection to the database. On a manual install we get a white page when entering the URL and "database not found" or similar message Checked the settings and config file they both are good. ~chris
old_mac
Update: I spent some time and reinstalled PS on our Mac server. I used underscores in both the database name, and user name and the installation was fine. So something else is happening on the public server. ~chris

old_mac
I was told by the ISP that it was running on a PHP 5 server. It wasn't. It was running 4.6 Could I suggest that the installer do a server check first to be certain it is actually using PHP 5? I think would save future problems with installations. ~chris
