Content of Module Page not visible

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I succcessfully transferred my Prestashop (version 1.5.4.0) from one host to another following the exact instructions in this forum. Everything seems to be working fine, except the module page in the administration section. After a while when I select module->module the content appears for a fraction of a second and then disappears again. I deleted all modules but that didn't help. I also did the whole transfer of Prestashop a couple of times. First the module page works but after a while the content starts disappearing. I run out of ideas...Can anybody help???

Big thanks!

Nick

one issue of moving form one server to the other is if the other server has everything to support ps....typically we find this out by installing ps on the new server first....when we just move the data...there is not safety check

check your configuration to see if ps has any issues

thanks for the quick reply. In fact there was an error with magic_quotes on the "optional parameters" which i fixed. But the issue has not been resolved yet. The configuration seems to be fine.

I checked the error log of apache and found several errors like this:

[sat Jul 20 19:28:56 2013] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: /home/www/admin1507/images_ie, referer: http://127.0.0.1/admin1507/index.php?controller=AdminInformation&token=f56ad3110cef548f9af080dfcf6170ad

not sure if that's relevant.

Also I noticed that the content of the product list in the admin panel is not loading (just as the module page).

Any other ideas???

Hi Nick,

weird, never heard of things disappearing over time...sounds to me like file permission problems but if the config says no write issues then well, can't be that.

if it's easy enough, create a subdomain and related db, ftp up a fresh vanilla ps installation, do the normal install process and see if ps complains.

Thanks again. I did something similar, but I'll try a new installation once again. One other piece of information that might be relevant: in the "Configuration Information" page there is a list of updated files. however don't recall updating any of those files. I even copied those files back to my ftp from a fresh ps copy but those files still show up as "updated"...
