[solved] Silly question. Looking for how to make product drop down

Hello everyone I'm sorry to bother you with this. However I know there's a way to make a drop down for say sizing of shirts XL and so on. I also know they are customization I have forgotten how to do this and was wondering if anyone could point me to a tutorial or give me a point in the right direction I would appreciate it very much. I hope this is easy and okay

Good morning

 

The first thing you need to do is add your Attribute and then the Values for this attribute, so as you are talking about clothes we will start with:

 

Attribute = Size

 

Value = Small

Medium

Large

 

So, go to Back office > Catalog > Attributes and Values > click the green + sign on the right (Add new Attributes)

 

Fill out the fields - Name = Size, Public Name = Size, Attribute Type = Drop-down list > click save

 

Now click the + sign on the right (Add new Values) another page will load and you will see:

 

Attribute Type drop-box > click Size > in the Value field type in Small > click save and add another value, Medium, Large etc

 

When you have added all the values you require go to

 

Back Office > Catalog > Products > click the product you wish to work with and > on the left click Combinations > Product combinations generator

 

On the left of the page you will see a list of Attributes with their Values > Click the values > click Add > as you do this they will appear in front of you > click Generate these Combinations

 

Of course, it is up to you which attributes and values yo need
