treasuresangel
I have an issue with our SSL certificate. It is installed correctly-see image. I went to Preferences>General and checked Enable SSL. Also clicked on link above that to install. It now says "settings updated correctly". If I go to checkout, I get a 404 page. I have short (friendly links) enabled and the .htaccess RewriteEngine on Also, it means that Paypal doesn't get to show up as an option, so no one can buy and this is a live store. Any ideas? thanks. benjamin utterback
Hi treasureangel, you need to contact your hosting provider because there are times that the SSL will conflict with friendly URL and your hosting provider will need to change some settings. Only they would know. Another thing you might try is to make a backup of your files and database and then force the regeneration of the htaccess by toggling on and off the Friendly URL option. If you do this, please make sure to have a working backup.
vekia
i've got little question related to this case, by 404 page you mean "browser" 404 error or prestashop 404 page?
treasuresangel
I go to checkout and get "Page not available". Website url comes out as http://tandtdesignsllc.com/order my hosting provider isn't familiar with prestashop, we are his first, so he's not sure what to do at this point. vekia
so it is prestashop 404 page please regenerate the htaccess file
treasuresangel
it needs to be "on" on line 6, correct?
vekia
for the first: backup the .htaccess file then read this: htaccess regenerate prestashop
treasuresangel
Thanks, Vekia! I have multistore on but ended up not using it, should I turn off both that and the friendly urls? Is there an order in which I should do one first, then the other? And since I'm not using the multistore feature, is it okay to just leave it off? treasuresangel
So I turned off the multistore feature and left it off, turned off the friendly URLs saved, then turned it back on. Completely BROKE MY STORE! Now on the front end it's back to the default for the template, it looks like I have only one product, everything in the footer is gone (all black no links at all) and so I took a break. Came back to work on it only to find that my entire back end of the store is gone, can't even log in. Am willing to see how much it would cost to fix. vekia
you were on the multistore with one shop or more? if you don't use more stores, you should disable this feature.
vekia
can you send me login & pass to your back office?
