Accessing certain products from Back Office

Hi Everyone,

 

My shop has developed an annoying little quirk!

 

I noticed today that a lot of products from one manufacturer (but not all) have disappeared from their respective subcategories. I went to the Back Office to check and found them under the level up. Strange thing is, I can't access the products from Back Office to amend any details, a grey box with white arrow appears (see attached screen shot) and nothing loads.

 

Stranger still, under Front Office I can see all the products in the level up category, but none of the attributes are searchable.

 

Has anyone ever seen such strange behaviour? Any ideas on a fix?

can you

 

1- turn on errors as described in my signature?

2- when accessing the bugged pages, before doing it, open up the developer console (f12) or firebug, and see if there's any javascript error (red mark in bottomright corner)?

Interestingly, I just switched from Chrome to Firefox to see if the console would tell me anymore as Chrome just hangs. The products (the ones I've tried at least) are accessible from Back Office!

 

I've emptied the cache on Chrome, still no luck! At least I can amend via Firefox for the time being.

 

There were no JS errors though, although a lot of "Pending" requests.

I am having the same issues. The backoffice hangs on chrome and no error messages on console either.

Strangely, it works just fine on other browsers (Firefox and Safari)

perhaps you use some plugins in chrome which can blocks some js/ajax features  ?

the problem was with the html in description of the product. stripping the html tags solved the issue. i had the description extracted from a word file which included html tags with styles used in word
