Very slow loading when creating/ editing categoriies

As the title states, i need some help.

 

My website has several hundred categories. I am creating them manually from the prestashop BO.

 

The creation of a category loads really slow, from 30sec-1minute.. The website itself and the rest of the backoffice loads fine..

 

Does this has to do with my server speed, or is there anything else i can do about it?

 

Sometimes my category creation leads to a 404 page, but the category itself has been succesfully created, and can be accessed when this 404 happens..

 

Please help me

1) where you've got hosting?

2) have you got possibility to check the mysql slow query log?

3) what ps version?

you're on shared hosting so you cant check mysql slow log. in this case I think that you should contact with your hoster
