RosesCCRS
Is there a way to disable or hide fields in Catalog > Products? There are 11 steps (left hand side) to follow when adding or editing a product. I only want my sellers to see 6 of them. My goal is to keep this very, very simple for them. I have tested it using just the six and it works for my business model. I renamed the fields they are not to fill out with a: N/A or Ignore, BUT it would look so much more professional if the fields were just not there. Thanks in advance for reading this topic. Dh42
You can, you will have to edit the admin section of the shop.
RosesCCRS
Good news, so I want to do this for all employees....where do I do this?
RosesCCRS
I tried Administration > Permissions > Edit > Administrators and Sellers and it still shows up. I assume I am in the wrong place.
vekia
this is correct way to achieve that. make sure that your eployee is added to the "Sellers" (Salesman?) group
RosesCCRS
Yes, I have done that. The fields are unchecked and they still appear/show up for the seller. I am using Agile Multi Seller and went to both Seller and Agile Multi Seller permissions with no change.
RosesCCRS
When using the modules, as per Agile: "there is not permission configuration at product field level. You will have to change some code to hide some fields or tabs. You will need to modify following file....." That is why I could not get the changes to work. I do not feel comfortable messing around with code. Edited July 15, 2013 by ABI International (see edit history)
