Is that possible to Set Shipping Number Through Backend?

Hello Friends,

 

I like to know as we set all courier companies details like name, tracking url, expected date of delivery. Then is that possible to set tracking number through backend only?

 

So that whenever we select courier & enter tracking number then customer will get same email at his inbox.

 

Is that possible?

Tried your solution. But both emails are going separately. Tracking link will be sent to customer but that not contains tracking number which we set. email of courier company site will be sent which we set in carrier option. That @ option which should work that is not working.

 

I am using 1.5.4.1 version.

If you add a tracking URL to a carrier, it will only affect future orders that will be placed with it.

 

As for the dual email, you can edit the "Shipped" order status, and set it not to send the customer an email.

Thats fine. But how the tracking number will be sent to customer? I have tried to set shipping number after changing status from preparation to shipped.

 

But it not send any kind of email to customer about that docket.
