Then is that possible to set tracking number through backend only? So that whenever we select courier & enter tracking number then customer will get same email at his inbox. Is that possible? tomerg3 Posted July 12, 2013 Share Posted July 12, 2013 If you set a tracking URL for the carrier, and set the order status to "Shipped", you will see a new place in the order page to enter a tracking # (which will trigger an email to the customer). Tracking link will be sent to customer but that not contains tracking number which we set. email of courier company site will be sent which we set in carrier option. tomerg3 Posted July 14, 2013 Share Posted July 14, 2013 If you add a tracking URL to a carrier, it will only affect future orders that will be placed with it. I have tried to set shipping number after changing status from preparation to shipped. But it not send any kind of email to customer about that docket.
