Christiaan_01
Hi, I tried to enable the mail alerts module for customers, to receive an e-mail when a product is back in stock. Unfortunately it doesn't send any e-mail when I update the stock. Advanced stock management is enabled. Prestashop version 1.5.2. - Language: Dutch and French. Mail alert 2.4 ( and the one coming with PS 1.5.2, probably v2.2 or 2.3). In both versions the same problem. No e-mail is sent when stock is updated. Thanks, Christiaan Edited July 11, 2013 by Christiaan_01 (see edit history)
tdr170
I just checked this in 1.5.4 and worked just fine, are you using PHP mail or SMTP I have seen others have this issue when using SMTP. (mailalerts 2.4) (PHP mail) Just in case, when the item is out of stock the customer must add there email in the FO product view to receive an email for back in stock. I assume that since you have tried several modules that you have checked the option for customers to receive the email.
Christiaan_01
Thanks for the fast reply. My PS e-mail is PHP configured. And indeed, customer enters e-mail in FO product. I tried it to test it. Enter my e-mail in the FO box, update the stock, but no e-mail is being sent. In another thread someone wrote: If you have your store in other language you have to manually create folders for your language.Example : /modules/mailalerts/mails/gr/ And copy all files from /modules/mailalerts/mails/en ( English, and traslate them if needed). Otherwise prestashop mail alert 2.2 WILL NOT SEND EMAIL ! I tried to this, because my site is in Dutch, but didn't help either.
Christiaan_01
I tried it with a product not using Advanced Stock Management, and the e-mail was sent directly. So the problem seems to come from ASM.
