< Solved >Check out leads to 404 Error page

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I have a store http://www.gurkha-kukri.com built in PrestaShop™ 1.4.7.3. I can checkout orders easily when i don't use freindly url but when i turn on the friendly url then everything works except these things checkout process, my account and view cart also. They all show the same 404 pages

After adding products and checking out through the cart , it redirects to http://www.gurkha-ku...om/order?step=1 and shows page not available.

Please help on this

that's right, but usually, when you've got friendly urls ON, then if you trying to access to the cart via non-friendly url you should be redirected to the friendly-url cart page. i suppose that the problem is with htaccess file

not always, sometimes it crashes the website + backoffice (500 internal server)

then you have to change this param in database ps_configuration field coz you will not be able to log in to BO.

everything depends on hostgin configuraiton.

Hi guys its solved

the problem is created due to hosting guys

"Some hosting companies will default to php4 unless the above line is in the htaccess file, and when Prestashop generates the htaccess file, it doesn't add the line.

Try adding the following at the top of your htaccess file

AddType application/x-httpd-php5 .php"

http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/49038-htaccess-generator-my-site-its-blank/

thanks tomreg and all other guys who participated to solve this
