HELP! Our urls in Google have ?controller=404 added to end

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Urgent - our products are getting found on Google, but taking the user to the "404 Page not Found" page. I've noticed that the urls have "?controller=404" added to the end - when this part is removed the links works. The site itself works fine (www.thesilverwareguy.com). Any idea what could be causing this and more importantly how to fix it?

Thanks.

That is why you have a backup! Confirm that it is working first before you touch that. It is good that you are not push click happy with the buttons.

If you confirm the backup of your 1)Database 2) PrestaShop files, then there is little to be worried about. When did this start happening? Any changes that you did?

I will give it a try, but I'm certain this started happening last week when the redirect issue in the cart pages was fixed. However, I don't know what the changes were to fix this.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have exactly the same problem. Actually I noticed this problem accidentally when I was monitoring my Google Analytics. I get the ?controller=404-admin404 at the end of link and when I remove it the link works correctly.

My site seems working fine and apparently there is no problem. Yesterday I generated robots.txt file because I thought it maybe an indexing issue by Google. I checked today my BO > Stats and I see there are some "Pages not found". I've opened a topic here is the link: http://www.prestasho...ages-not-found/

Thanks.
