vekia
by default it isn't possible. to achieve what you want it's necessary to modify the prestashop core.
dirsubmit
Hi Vekia, I'm wondering if by default the CMS categories and pages can be setup so they're displayed as www.site.com/cmscategory1/cmspage1.html ... www.site.com/cmscategory2/cmspage.html etc.. or is it necessary to modify the prestashop core. If so can you point me to the right direction? Thanks!
vekia
it's necessary to modify the htaccess file. as far as i know the pretty urls module does exactly what you want
dirsubmit
Hi, I have that module installed and it does not.. you can change the cms category and the cms page but there's www../category and then all the pages belonging to that category go under the root url.. if you know what portion of the .htaccess to modify to make that happen so all related cms pages show up under their own category then that would be great Thanks
vekia
you've got pretty url? or you just thinking about "friendly url" ?
dirsubmit
My bad.. I have clean URL by ha!*!y installed.. maybe I don't know how to set it to do what I want? but right now I have {rewrite}.htm for route to CMS page and route to CMS category is set at {rewrite}-{id}/ I've tried putting {category}/{rewrite}.htm for CMS page and a few other combinations but none of it work and breaks other things .. I actually want to have the category as {rewrite}/ but.. when I do that.. other url's break and some other functionalities break. so ultimately I would like url.com/cmscategory/ then url.com/cmscategory/cms.htm Edited August 2, 2013 by dirsubmit (see edit history)
