marcko
dear prestashop users and experts, i submit to you the following questionin order to improve the site's google results, it would be ok to change the "<meta name="generator" content="PrestaShop" />" with keywords appropriate to my site? i mean replace "prestashop" with my own tags? or even "generator"? this change is done within header.tpl file. what do you think?thanks
CYTechnologies
Hello Marcko,Changing the Generator Meta Tag will not improve your SEO sorry to say. Focus on your Title tag, Meta Description, Meta Keywords, and your targeted keywords within your products.Turning on SE Friendly links via the administrative panel will also help a bit. stealthmktg
Can someone please advise on where to modify how the title tags are written in Prestashop?I'd simply like to change, "Shop Name - Page Title" to "Page Title | Shop Name" I see $meta_title in the header.tpl of my theme, but I can not seem to find where PS defines the string for that variable... diana13
If you add a new category, you have there meta title, meta description and meta keyword. You can put in meta title what you want, in your case: Page title | Shop nameIf you add a new product, you will find in that page a link: Click here to improve product's rank in search engines (SEO)You have there meta title, meta description and meta keyword.
