[SOLVED] Please help, impossible to add products

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am new to PrestaShop and so far it has been quite a dissapointment - I've been struggleing with this (and other) problems whole week and already going grey.

When I try to add products (catalog - products - add new), there is only blank sheet, no fields, no error, nothing. Its also impossible to add subcategories and some buttons wont work.

Please help me out! Everyone told me Prestashop is very easy to use, but seems I lack any IT knowlege. What should I do, does anybody have the same problem?

Sorry, I dont find any error logs @ my hosting.

I have already tried (and it didnt work):

config/defines.inc.php

find this line

define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', false);

change to look like this:

define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', true);

my suggestion...given that you have not been able to add anything, you may consider deleting the site and re-installing...do not load any modules or templates and see if you can then add a product and/or category....otherwise you will need to get a community member to help by getting access to the bo and possibly ftp.

Hi!

So, I finally managed to solve the problem :) (actually not me, but my hosting)

I had gap in my admin page address. After removing it, everything works fine.

And why did I have it there first place? When installing prestashop, I used these instructions: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/57784-complete-guide-to-new-user-how-to-install-the-prestashop-to-web-hosting-just-host/ that advised to rename admin folder and unfortunately there is a gap in their example ("admin 202")

Hopefully this information helps someone someday:)
