< SOLVED > Gender Field Modification

Hello Friends,

 

I like to know how to edit gender field in prestashop 1.5.4.1. While creating account it asks to select gender. I want to remove that UNKNOWN gender option.

 

Will be great if anyone know how to do it.

I am not sure what you mean by UNKNOWN but in ps 1.5.4.1 the genders are in:

Back office 》 Customers 》Titles

check also the translations (maybe this is the main problem)

check please ps_gender + ps_gender_lang tab in your database

 

remove the "unknow" gender from these tables.

 

 

btw you havent it under the Customers > Titles tab in BO ?

Absolutely great you are .... Resolved issue. Deleted unknown field from back office genders option.

Oh Vekia,

 

Sorry to say but that solution not worked. When I deleted unknown field only using backend then it automatically deleted other Ms. & Mrs. Field also. Now I am trying to add manually but it shows added but when I check it not shows anything except Mr. Field.

Also in translations I am getting below kind of errors.

 

authentication-create-account - 48 expressions (48 missing)

 

Your personal information = Title = First name = Last name = E-Mail: = Password = (5 characters min.) =

 

 

So can u tell me how shall I resolve it as it appearing on all translations.

really weird, have you got an access to the database?

Yes I have access to database but I tried to delete that unknown field using gender option in backend. Actually I had upgraded my store form 1.4.7 to 1.5.4.1 due to which I think this is happening

i think that the best way to fix it will be reseting the tables that i mentioned above (ps_gener + ps_gened_lang)

Oh... Sorry I am wrong... After deleting browser cookies & force compile issue resolved That added fields are appeared now
