Lost login and password

I have a site parked on a server that was built in 1.4.3 and tried adding the Social network buttons module about 6 months ago. It caused issues to the point where I put it in maintenance and am just getting back to working on it. The issue is that the original email and password used to set up the account have been misplaced.

I can log into the server and access the file manager for the site- but where and in what file do I look for the email and password login information? I think it would be in phpmyadmin (?) but what file?

if you open your PHPmyadmin client, look for the table Prefix_employee

Here you'll find the email and md5 coded password. If you want to add new password (as you won't be able to decode it) look at this tutorial.
