coffeeroastersclub
Hello. I currently have a very active site constructed on the 1.3.2.3 version. Will I be able to upgrade to version 1.5.4.1 and keep all my database records? How would I do the upgrade so that it does not affect any of this. I am running a linux platform. THanks in advance. Andrew H
I upgraded from 1.1 to 1.5 (on a store with over 1000 products) so you shouldn't have any trouble from 1.3. I had a few corrections I needed to make on the database after the upgrade (and a few issues with images) but other than that it was fine. However, I left the site live on the existing version and made a mirror of the site and the database and upgraded it there instead. The upgrade automatically takes care of the database on the most part, though I wouldn't upgrade a live site!

Technically probably you can but I don't recommend that. PrestaShop upgrade scripts are not perfect and you will not get the same shop as after fresh install. Actually you can have more problems then with fress install. I suggest to backup data and import important data (products, categories, addresses, not orders or other minor settings) to a newly installed shop.
