Experiencing a problem with the PayPalAPI built on Prestahop - error reads:

Error reporting from your PayPalAPI module

A client has encountered a problem with the module PayPalAPI, see the report:

PayPal response:

TIMESTAMP -> 2013-07-01T12:49:08Z

L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10486

L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> This transaction couldn't be completed.

L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> This transaction couldn't be completed. Please redirect your customer to PayPal.

L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error

This seems to happen in about 1 in very few transactions only but we'd like to resolve it.

Has anyone experienced this, if so, who could offer advice on why it's happening and how we can resolve it?

Thanks!

AP

L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> Security header is not valid

L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error

AND

A client has encountered a problem with the module PayPalAPI, see the report: PayPal response:

TIMESTAMP -> 2013-07-01T09:35:27Z

L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10472

L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Transaction refused because of an invalid argument. See additional error messages for details.

L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> CancelURL is invalid.

L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error

Any idea what's wrong?

The 10002 error means your paypal api information is not entered correctly. If you are getting that error, all payments to your paypal module should fail.

Also what version of the paypal module are you using? Version 3.5.5 corrects this problem. I would do a complete uninstall of the module, then download and install the new module.

This is the message I'm seeing:

PayPal response:TIMESTAMP -> 2013-12-06T03:47:06ZL_ERRORCODE0 -> 10486L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> This transaction couldn't be completed.L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> This transaction couldn't be completed. Please redirect your customer to PayPal.L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error

Orders were processing as late as yesterday - no changes made to site

This is my 5th post on the forum on various issues but I yet to receive a resolution on any of them.

Paypal says its not them.

Anyone able to understand/fix/address or have ANY information on this. Looks like I'm not the only one with this issue.

Hi Paypal

This test you ran shows that the PayPal is working in your situation but I need a way to test if the IP I am using is blocked. I will use this for further test when the problem re-occurs. Please can you show me a website/utility/method of checking to see if an ip address is blocked by PayPal.

Thanks

Hi,

We have recently seen contacts from merchants whose host IPs got blocked by an ISP in-between PayPal and the host, effectively blocking them from reaching PayPal. we do not block these IPs ourselves, this is an issue outside the scope of our company.

You could execute ( or ask your network administrator to do so ) the following commands and send the results to your admin (or host) for further analysis, this will help them to find a definitive fix for this situation.

openssl s_client -connect www.paypal.com:443 ( or the endpoint -url- you use to connect to PayPal)

The Ip used by our systems can be found here :

https://cms.paypal.com/fr/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=developer/howto_api_golivechecklist

Also please have a look at this guide: https://ppmts.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/733

Regards,

I hope this might be of use to someone.
