hippooflove
I have a problem with PayPal that has started over the last 24 hrs. I have been on to PayPal and they say that my shop is sending the following variable to PayPal showShippingAddress=false showBillingAddress=false I need to change them both to true. Where on earth in my files do I change these please!!!!! Barry
tomerg3
Do a search in the content of files in the paypal module, and search for "showShippingAddress"
hippooflove
Thank you Tomerg. I have done that and found it. I did change the text as they instructed but it made no difference. In my limited knowledge the error occurs when the customer transfers to the paypal site, so i feel it must be a paypal setting thats wrong and probably not on Prestashop. many thanks Barry
cocothecat
Did you force compile after changing? What paypal account are you using / options ?

cocothecat
Direct Sales, Out of Sandbox etc all ticked? Your account is approved with paypal? With all the API info in the module?
hippooflove
Yes all of above. What worries me is that for 16 months it did not work properly and I had to install a manual cart to order module. Paypal kept saying it was a prestashop fault and not there's. In the end I proved it was PayPal and they paid me my charges back for the whole period. It has worked okay for 5 months now, although I do get an log error message occasionally, and this new problem only started 48 hours ago. To make matter worse we have just had an article published in a trade mag and people have already started to call. I cannot afford to lose orders. The problem is that it is in a sensitive area to let people look at it for you and I do not know anybody personally who can get it right for me. cocothecat
Ok so for the moment why not go back to basics and just use the standard paypal login to pay for an order? Might not be ideal but at least you can process payment? If this error has just happened again, sounds like an IP passing info to paypal is blocked to me - I could be wrong though! I assume you are taking cards on site or via their gateway as your using the payment pro, do you have an SSL in place? It might be worth looking at an alternative payment gateway, not the greatest solution but at least you will have a fall back for anything like this happening again. hippooflove
many thanks for your time. When you say Payment gateway do you mean something like World Pay? Barry
cocothecat
Yeah Google Wallet, SagePay + Merchant Account, 2Checkout there are plenty to choose from really All comes down to where you are in the world and what support can be offered.
