No answers to images not loading

I am trying to load product images.

 

I am following instruction and have researched this forum. Many of us have the smae issue but no one is answering the questions. Why ae the images not loading? All the other images load for the shop but not the products. I can even load the images for mapping.

 

I go to the load images and there is a red bar at the bottom (screenshot attached) which says "define" with a red X and it fades but the picture is never loaded. the manual says this:

To add one or more images to your product:

• Click the "Upload an image" button and then select at least one image file from your computer to upload. You can select as many images as necessary by keeping the Ctrl-key pressed while selecting files. Validate your selection, and the upload starts automatically.
  The default maximal size for an image file is set by PrestaShop according to your server's PHP settings. This size can be lowered in the "Images" preference page, "Product images" section.
  
• The uploaded images appear in a table below the button. If you have more than one image, you can choose which image is to be used as the default/cover image by clicking on the red "no entry" button and turn it into a green checkmark. That cover image will also appear automatically on the product page of your shop.
  

How does one "validate" an image? I get to the part where I click on the image I want to download and there is no "validate" button or anything--then the red bar shows up and a picture does not load.

 

I have "friendly URLs" turned off--I read that affected one person. HELP. everything else seems to work fine. thansk in advance if you can help.

 

I am using 1.5.4.1 and it is the same in any browser. I will pay for the answer--just don't want to pay $400 for only 10 hours!

This issue may be from your hosting provider, as this user has reported but it can be from your shop as well.

 

I have few questions because I did not experienced this problem so far.

 

1. What resolution do have your images when you try to upload them?

2. What sizes do they have?

3. What is the memory limit set on your server?
