How to configure site address

Recommended Posts

HI

I have just installed PS tonight and Im having a little issue with my site address.

(Im not overly tech savvy so please bare with me)

I installed PS into my public_html folder, after installation my shopfront is located at:

http://draigerai.com/prestashop_1.5.4.1/prestashop/index.php

My question is what do I need to do/change so that i can access my shopfront from http://draigerai.com

Much appreciated!!

you can achieve this in two ways:

1) point your domain to the prestashop directory: prestashop_1.5.4.1/prestashop/

2) move all files from your prestashop_1.5.4.1/prestashop/ to the root dir of your domain

(it wont let me leave the base url blank?)

You would need to find the root folder that you want it installed on. public_html is often times where it would go.

I'm thinking that you would need to move all the folders and files within "prestashop_1.5.4.1/prestashop" into your public_html folder.

I'm sure somebody else will comment with a more specific or easier way.
