SHEINLINE
We have a number of subdirectories under the directory more, if the original display method displays very long. This is not conducive customers to browse. Therefore, we would like to display two columns. For example, there are 20 subdirectories, a display 10 subdirectories. Like how to achieve this functionality? Thanks. Edited July 1, 2013 by yangzi (see edit history)

SmartDataSoft
This can be done either two way. If the menu is generated from tpl there you can set a logic and count the no of loop and then separate 10 item in one column. Or you can do this by jquery. If you share your site url i will try to share the jquery version which will divide the sub menu with 10 child.

vekia
it's not as easy as it seems, believe me. in this case I'ts necessary to modify a lot of code (of the module) - you have to edit .tpl files of the module and also css styles and JS probably too
