Want to disable shopping cart temporarily

Hello,

 

I want to launch a Prestashop site but without the shopping cart to start with. What I mean is, I need to create a website using Prestashop and launch immediately. However, as I am not going to be ready immediately with my offline mechanism of order delivery and other processes. After a month or so, I would be in position to serve the order, I would then need to enable the cart function.

Please guide me how I can disable/enable the cart functionality temporarily.

Hello

You can use Catalog Mode (BackOffice -> Preferences -> Products -> Catalog mode -> Yes) for that time, it's simple method but will hide prices of the product's.

Thanks Piotr. That helps for a while - I may be able to go live with this suggestion, I guess. But if it showed prices without showing shopping features, it would have been great. Will look for the answer.

unfortunately catalog mode hide all prices, the only thing that you can do, is use a "normal" shop mode with stock feature, just set up the quantities for your products to 0 - then no one will be able to add them to cart.

I solved the issue disabling the option 'available for order' (and leaving 'display prices') in the Catalogue>Products>(product-item) Modify.
